Types of Consulting
Basic: Hourly verbal consulting. I'll examine the area you are interested in
changing and write up detailed notes on how to go about organizing,
decluttering, and generally improving the look and flow of your space.
This service is recommended for people who want to maintain maximum
privacy and don't mind doing the work themselves. This is not
recommended for people who aren't good with follow through or are easily
overwhelmed.
Hands On: This is also hourly consulting but I will physically assist you
in the process of changing your space. For instance, if we are working on
your home office we will collaborate on the layout, and then you might
sort through your bank statements and personal records while I make
labels and arrange storage. This kind of consulting works well for those
who are motivated but have a hard time working alone. You will get to see
and participate in the process and will be guaranteed a result (basic
consulting leaves the project vulnerable to abandonment).
Complete: Complete consulting is for those who are pressed for time and
don't mind investing more to have the project taken care of without their
participation. After the necessary communication about your needs and
behaviors I will take on the project alone, buying needed items for storage
or organization and making judgements about the best places for your
belongings (nothing will disappear without your approval, however). Some
questions may arise, but basically I will take copious notes on where things
are placed and give you back an organized and highly functional room.
Flat Rate Closets: With this type of consulting I will assess the closet and
give you a quote. At that point you are welcome to participate as much or
as little as you like and I will complete the project in as much or as little
time as it takes. This is recommended for people with lots of clothes and
little patience.
Rate: My rate is $35 an hour. Project assessment consultations, to
determine estimated length and size of your project, are free within 15
miles of Redmond.
